Year 1 and Year 2 - Elm Class
Elm Class is a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class, where learning is carefully planned and delivered to meet the needs of pupils across both year groups. The class follows the National Curriculum, with teaching adapted to ensure appropriate challenge and progression for all children.
Year 1 and Year 2 children are taught together for many lessons, with learning structured to support both year groups within the same classroom environment. Where appropriate, children are taught in line with their year group expectations to ensure they continue to make strong progress.
Throughout the year, children’s learning, progress and achievements are assessed in line with National Curriculum expectations.
